Online trade ordering system built on NetSuite
The online ordering system an Australian welding and gas supplier trades on every day, built by Artigence on top of their NetSuite ERP and run by Artigence in production.
The Challenge
Trade customers and sales reps needed to order, quote and check prices online, with each customer's own pricing, without the website and NetSuite disagreeing about price, stock or what was ordered.
Our Approach
An online trade store and the staff tools behind it, connected both ways to the supplier's NetSuite ERP, so prices, stock, customers and orders come from one place. Every product change records who made it and what it was before. Changes that write to NetSuite are proven safely on a hidden item in the live system before release.
The Results
Live in production and used daily by trade customers, sales reps and the warehouse: customer-specific pricing, quantity price breaks (e.g. 1+, 9+, 15+, 60+ spools) shown in the catalogue and charged at checkout, quotes that turn into orders, quick order for reps, a pick-and-pack screen, and each rep's own client list. Online checkout charges exactly what the NetSuite order says. When staff change a price, every bulk price break moves with it, so bulk buyers never pay more than one-off buyers.
